The Trick Eye museum turns 2D paintings to 3D images through the use of optical illusions. The first museum that I learnt about was the one in Korea. And, last year I was super lucky to be able to travel to Korea, Jeju and we of course took the time to visit the trick eye musuem!
I feel the first difference between both museum, definitely the size. Korea's one is huge like really. It's very spacious and empty too so very little people in the background. Not that singapore's one is small because it's actually bigger than i expected. Plus SG have two trick eye. The other one is called Alive museum i think, located at suntec. Another difference is that the one in korea, it's really all just 2d paintings on the walls. But here, we have a mixture of 2d and 3d interactions.
(Entrance ticket price too...)
Regular tickets are $25 each.
We learnt about the 50% opening discount thing and was so excited cause it's 50% and we can't give it a miss. So after the day i was back from japan, I met SY and we visited the place. We planned to meet really early because papers and news showed the crazy queues and long waiting times. We of course wanted to avoid all those. We already had to wait for about 15 mins even though we were really early!
I personally thought the queuing outside was fine actually. I mean it's better than a lot of people gathering around and jamming up the place. So they limit the number of people that could enter at once.
Ok, I'll just let the pictures do the talking. They are pretty much self-explanatory.
We all no shame one, just sprawl on the floor. lol
This is definitely one of my personal favourite. I did not add filter or whatsoever, it's the lightings they used that gave this dreamy effect. Super cool right!
We kinda refused to get out cause it was so fun taking pictures, so the both of us went two rounds. (Maximising the amount paid) (True singaporean). I want to visit the Alive museum too but then again it's $25 and I don't think it's worth that high a price.
After that, we had to get lunch and it was a last minute to visit Stranger's Reunion. My first time visiting that place so i was quite excited. I mean people have been raving about the place and their food (especially the waffles) like crazy, i was super hyped to go try it myself. It's located about 5-10 minutes walk away from outram park Mrt.
(Please read Renae's blog for like a full review about the place!)
